Wow you got something decent for a change,doesn't change the fact that after that play we didn't get a PP remarkably.Thanks McCreary for that,he;s been messing up Rangers games since I was little.He sucks.Anyways I hope Brashear gets his orbital bone broken next time he fights.

By either Mike green or Shane Morrisonn during a scrum,bit on the wrist and bloodied.Unreal but don't worry since the league wanst the caps to win I'm sure it won't even be mentioned.Imagine Avery did this....he'd be banned for life.

Brashear's late viscious and totally

late hit that has left Blair Betts with a broken Orbital bone and a consussion is under review by the league,I hope this guy gets suspended for a while.He had nothing else on his mind other than to injur Blair Betts.The league wants to stop blows to the head,well then this is time ti make a statement.Nope instead they'd rather worry about Sean Avery's remarks about sloppy seconds.People talk crap aabout Avery but i've never seen him intentionally try to end someones career like brashear did,in fact I don't ever recall Avery ever seriously injuring anyone.All in all I hope Brashear is suspended for a while.

Rangers lose Game 6,5-3,series goes to seven.

Once again another blown opportunity to end the series on home ice.Instead they face a dreaded Game 7 in Washington,and it now seems the Caps have almost all the momentum in the series.The Rangers were totally outplayed yesterday save for maybe the first ten minutes.Two things happened around then that changed the games outcome.One was Markus Naslund deciding to make an extra deke instead of just directing towards the open net and the other was Donald Brashears viscious late him on Balir Betts where somehow the refs only gave him 2 mins.After those the caps went on a roll and we never geot back into it.Sean Avery was back in the lineup,had some good shifts but seemed to be less inclined to mix it up at all.Can't blame him since everytime he hits someone or gets near a scrum he'd likely be penalized.

For Game 6,a bullshit move for the league.A fan heckles a Coach now and insults the coachs family(i have a report from someone) and gets away with it,not only that but gets the coach suspended for a playoff game.Unbelieveable.I guess its open season on coachs now.The real blame lies in the security,the fan should have been escorted before anything escalated.

Avery scratched,Rangers lose Game 5 4-0

Surprise,no fire whatsover from the Rangers in a game in which they could have closed out the caps.Instead you gace Ovie and company life and now you face a must win Game 6 sunday cause you do not wanna go to Game 7 at Washington.I do not agree with Torts decision to sit Avery despite his bad penalties.Its playoffs and you must put your best lineup on the ice at all times.Aaron Voros in over Avery does not help the team at all.You wanna show the team taht one one is above the team then play Avery on the 4th line or play him 5 mins but don't sit him on a team that has no help in forward dept.Add to that the team looks listless without Avery 98% of the time.I'm sure Aves himself knew he took bad penalties and wanted a chance to prove he can play and make up for the mistakes.

Except for say Callahan,Dube,Betts and a couple others,no one showed up.Horrible loss.

Sean Avery this series=

26 PIMs.He for sure has had a rough series and has taken some bad penalties.However I still the refs have it on for him which I guess is just something that gets to him especially because some of the calls they don't make when he gets continuously hit from behind,hit late and roughed.I think its really wearing thin on him and it shows.The target on his back needs to be removed,however after these last 2 games he will need to behave even more carefully cause its apparent he is a marked man this series.Though Half of the penalties I say 2 are Mins for being Avery.I wonder if Bettman will one day add that to the rule book,Penalty #16,2 mins for being Sean Avery.

Rangers win 2-1,lead series 3-1

After an amazing performance from Henrik Lundqvist,time and time he stopped ovechkin and company.The only goal was a perfect shot by ovehckin but other than that he was amazing.Facing 39 shots and stopping 38 of them.He has been the story of the series.He has stopped 141 out of 149 shots.Sean Avery had a real solid game until the third when he took 2 bad penalties.But the team rallied and I'm sure Aves is thanking them all bigtime.Aves is having a tough time with 26 PIMs this series.His stats the other night read

The the league is getting more ridiculous than I ever though.Penalty,for sure,suspension..definitely not

Besides that whatever happened to letting players play in the playoffs,too often these clueless zebras dictate games and that shouldn't happen.And Im not just saying that because I'm a Rangers fan or Avery fan,it happens all over.I have watched a bunch of playoff games and the officiating is just terrible and inconsistent.I hate the direction the league is going,everything is a penalty,soo there will be no hitting or fighting.

Rangers get shoutout 4-0 in Game 3

And now lead 2-1 instead of 3-0 after blowing a golden oppurtunity last night.Right from the start you could tell lady luck wasn't on the rangers side.Alex Semin scored early on,finally beating Lundqvist who almost made the save.Then the turning point,Ryan Callahan hit the post on and empty net and the caps went down the other way and it made it 2-0 on semins second goal.The Rangers had some chances on the PP but once again didn't pressure rookie goaltender simeon varlamov the way you'd like to see a team do to a rookie.Add to that their PP didn't look good and at least 2 powerplays were cut short do to rangers penalties.Avery had rough night penalty wise,some were definitely warranted and a couple I thought were repuatation calls.The interference with goaltender penalty was a definite 2 mins for being #16,he backed into the crease after being nudged in and grazed varlamov with his backside.The high sticking call on him I really didn't get a good angled look at it.In the third things got a little more out of hand,avery gave a swipe to varlamov before being hit with 2 roughing penalty and 10 game misconduct,at that point the game was over anyways.

Avery and Rangers take 2-0 LEAD back to the Garden!

After a huge 1-0 Game 2 win in front of a frenzied washington crowd decked out in rock the red crap.The story of this game was goaltending.The Caps went to rookie Simeon Varlamov after Theodore turned in a shakey Game 1 performance.Varlamov was fairly solid though the Rangers didn't force him to make many tough saves after an early eventual game winner by Ryan "Manahan" Callahan. But the main story of this game was Henrik Lundqvist,he was simply unbelieveable in making 35 saves for his third career shutout. He stopped ovechkin,semin,backstrom and green time after time leaving them all very frustrated.He got some help late in the third when after a huge giveaway Ovechkin hit the crossbar. But his performance was flawless and if he can keep this play up the Caps could be in trouble.Hot goaltenders can steal series.Game 3 is set for tommorow night at a rocking Madison Sqaure Gardem.Sean Avery was in Mike Greens face all day and definitely was starting to get on the Caps nerve.

Rangers and Caps Game 2!

Fresh off a big Game 1 victory the Rangers take on the caps at 1pm.Lots of controversey brewing in DC after Jose "Threeormore" Theodore allowed 4 unscreened goals in a really shaky performance.He complained afterwards abouy Avery being a tie Domi Wannabee(excuse me but did tie domi ever score a goal and hey l loved the guy) and Mike Green went as far as saying we got lucky.Hell maybe we did but either way a win is a win.I'm sure if Threeormore has another shakey performance today Boudreau won't hesistate to put in Simeon Varlamov.For the Rangers they need another huge performance from Henrik Lundqvist and need to find a way to score some PP goals like they did in game 1.And stay out of the penalty box,Markus Naslund I'm looking at you even if they were all questionable calls.

Rangers TAKE game One!

From the Caps 4-3 to take a 1-0 lead in the series.Huge Win on the road and now they had back home after game 2 with at least a split.Very intense game with some huge hits,Rangers lead 3-1 and eventually the caps tied it at 3 but Brandon Dubinsky scored a sweet goal in the third to give the Rangers a 4-3 win.Sean Avery had an active game,his highlight of the night was dumping Mike Green into the Rangers bench.

Keys to the series
1.Obviously Henrik Lundqvist will have to come up huge and perhaps have his best series in the playoffs if the Rangers are to beat the Caps.The Caps offense is potent,besides Ovechkin you have to deal with Alexender Semin,Nik Backstrom,Mike Green and a host of other skilled players.On the other end Jose Thedore gets very shaky at times and loses his confidence for stretches of time.

2.Contain Alex Ovechkin-He is going to get his goals and shots but we must limit it to a degree.I think this series is a huge showcase for Marc Staal.He has the size and strength to match up against Ovechkin and if he does a somewhat decent job the Rangers have a much better chance.It's also up to Torterella to decide if he is perhaps going to match Chris Drury's line against Ovechkins.

3. Get under the skin of Semin and Green.This is where Sean Avery is at his best,if he is able to get these players worrying more about him than scoring it'll be huge to the Rangers.We all know Semin does not like to get hit.

4.Rangers PP and PK-Two opposites,the pk was the best in the league and the PP was among the lower 10 in the league.If the Rangers can find a way to get some PP goals and the PK continues to shine this is another huge advantage for the Rangers.

On 2 third period goals,one by the Sean Avery and another by Blair Betts.BRandon Dubinsky scored the other 2 goals and Henrik Lundqvist set a new career high with his 38th victory.Sean Avery had a greta game,again drawing the ire of a bunch of flyers besides his goal.He also put down Scott Hartnell as the gamne closed in a skirmish(video coming)

Bruins or Caps

Which one would I rather face
Boston-Play a tight defensive game and can lull you to sleep and win low scoring games but also quite capable of putting up some goals.Tim Thomas has had a career yr but can he lead them into the promised land.No stand out star like Ovechkin but some really good depth(savard,kessel,ryder,krecji,kobasew,wheeler,axelson and so on) and a tough D with the moster zdeno chara.I think this would be a real physical and grinding series.We have played some good games in Boston also.
Washington-they will get their goals and Ovechkin will get his.Marc Staal will get the tough job of trying to contain him.Backstrom and Semin are also damn good and Brooks Laich adds some scoring.Also Sergie Federov can still score some big goals.Mike Green is downright scary on the PP point and can flat out shoot the puck.Their biggest question marks our D and goaltending,can Jose Thedore regain his old form and lead them after a shakey regular season.One thing that worries me more than any other,we've had no luck whatsoever beating the caps in washington and with the white out effect and loud atmospehere in the playoffs it'll be even tougher.
All in all I'd almost rather face Boston.

To move up 2 points on the 9th place panthers and 1 pt back of the mentioned Canadiens.Overall almost everybody on the Rangers played well and they took advantage of a shakey Carey Price.Sean Avery had a strong game,mixing it up with everyone including Alex Kovalev and and adding an assist with a great play behind the net that forced the puck in front when Price left his crease to play the puck.Antropov dived and knocked the puck into the empty net.

Tonight @ MSG against the Habs.The Rangers need 2 pts in the worst way possible,we have currently fallen to 8th place,tied with the panthers with 89 pts but ahead via a tiebreaker(More wins)Montreal is at seventh with 92 pts.Apparently Avery wii be playing with Gomez and Antropov Tonight.We need him at his best tonight.If we lose this game we most likely will have to beat the flyers both times in our remaining 2 games.The Panthers play the flyers tonight

No video yet but I will describe what happened.Basically it was during a tv timeout,after the play thomas was way out towards the blueline bent over strecthing and Avery was skating towards him not really looking ahead.Avery skated by thomas and as he did his stick tapped Thomas in the back of the helmet.Thomas went bezerk and charged avery but montador already had Avert so instead Thomas started throwing punches at Sjostrom with his glove and blocker.The most ridiculous part was I guess not even the rfs originally saw what happened and Avery wasn't going to get a penalty but somehow I guess when it invloves Avery you can do video reviews for penalties.And Thomas only got 2 for acting like a complete loose cannon.Was it a penalty on Avery,yes and if the refs saw it I'd have no problem with it,however it ticks me off that they apply their own rules when it comes to Avery.Ridiculous and now I wouldn't be surprised if that numb nuts Bettman suspends Avery for this.This league is a joke sometimes.

Avery and Rangers face huge test in Carolina

The Canes have been ridiculously hot and last time these two teams met the Canes prevailed 3-0.The Rangers are coming off a huge win against the devils and need 2 pts as the Habs and Panthers are right behind them in the playoff push.I never thought I'd say this but Lets Go Islander also,they face the Habs tonight.Avery now has 10 pts in 12 games as a Ranger.
